“Our
name and our values
will remain the same.” says Cristie Jophlin-Martin, long-time
director of
Community Enterprise, “but in addition to strengthening
neighborhoods through
organizing and education, we will be expanding our scope of services to
include
the overall health of the community.”
Mondi
Mason, the director of
Partnerships for Healthy Communities says Community
Enterprise and Partnerships for Healthy are ideal partners for a merger. ”We
both value building strong neighborhoods
and providing people the tools they need to transform their
community.”
The Board of Directors and the staff of both agencies are excited about the synergy that will be created as we continue to work with residents to address neighborhood health in its broadest definition.
The
new organization will still be known as Community Enterprise. Jophlin-Martin
and Mason will be co-directors
of the new merged organization that will be made up of 11 staff members.
