Cristie Jophlin-Martin

Cristie Jophlin graduated form the University of Iowa in December 1999 with B.A. Degrees in Economics and Political Science. After graduating she joined the organization in October of 2000 as an AmeriCorps *VISTA member. As a volunteer she learned about the community and worked with many community leaders in the area. After her year of service she was hired as the Program Director. As Program Director she managed the existing *VISTA members and coordinated and ran an after school program and youth council at a local low income housing complex. In addition to these duties she works closely with members of our Board of Directors, members of grass roots groups in the community and has developed a resource guide available to Commerce City residents. She is a current graduate of the Leadership Training program offered through the Community Resource Center.

Cristie has also been able to volunteer her time with various groups in the community such as:

Dylan Terrell

Dylan recently joined Community Enterprise as the organization’s full-time Community Outreach Coordinator. Among his responsibilities, he works closely with the neighborhood associations and coordinates all of the homes for the annual Group Workcamps project. He received his B.A. in English Literature and History from Indiana University in 2006. Over the last five years, he has lived, worked, and volunteered extensively in Central and South America where he became fluent in Spanish, and while he grew up in an environment of community organizing and participation, it is his experiences in Latin America where his passion for community involvement fully materialized. Dylan also volunteers his time for a Denver based nonprofit: Birambye International.

Margarita Ceballos-Gomez

Margarita is Community Enterprise’s Bi-lingual Outreach Intern. She currently attends the Metropolitan College of Denver with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Pre-Law, and she hopes to become a lawyer in the future. While originally from a small village in Zacatecas, Mexico, Margarita was raised in the United States. She speaks both Spanish and English fluently and has the ability of simultaneous translation. She has been an invaluable asset to the organization, helping to expand outreach significantly and specifically to the Latino community.
